ik vind Matthew Lewis echt een super marcel ik denk dat bijna niemand die rol kan overdoen ofzo, ik vind hem erg veranderd als je de eerste en de tweede film met elkaar vergelijkt is het dubbelleuk maar goed ik ben ook blij dat die in de vierde film een grotere rol heeft gekregen en in de volgende film al helemaal (denk ik Wink

) ik vind hem de marcel Very Happy

De Neville in de boeken is klein en dat is Matt zeker niet.
Niet dat ik dat erg vind hoor maar het viel me gewoon op.
Hij hoort dacht ik kleiner of even klein/groot als Harry te zijn en in film 4 was Matt/Neville toch 2 koppen groter Razz

Ik vind Matthew Lewis een goede acteur en hij speelt Marcel echt goed. Voorbeelden zijn de vlieglessen en met de geheugensteen in deel 1 met de aardmannetjes van Smalhart in deel 2 en bij het meer met het kiewwier (dat hij helemaal niet gaf in het boek maar Dobby Confused

) dat hij denkt dat hij Harry heeft vermoord in deel 4, die stukken zijn echt goed geacteerd door hem, qua acteren heeft een heel klein beetje iets weg van Rupert Grint.

ik vind hem gewoon een hele goede acteur hij speelt goed onzeker en ik hab me hem echt zo voorgesteld.
ik denk dat hij gewoon in boek 7 als een stuk word beschreven want zo dom is hij niet meer.
hij groeid ook en hij word beter in de magie die hem geleerd is.
ik hoop het zo Embarassed

Interview 1

MATTHEW LEWIS plays Neville Longbottom, a loyal but slightly bumbling friend of Harry's and a member of Dumbledore's Army (DA), a secret school club for learning defence against the dark arts

Are you like your character?
Iâ€™m pretty clumsy, but Iâ€™d like to think Iâ€™m a bit cooler than him. I would say Iâ€™m more courageous, but in this new film he becomes really reckless and wants to fight the good fight.

Do you wish you could have played a â€˜coolerâ€™ character?
Not really. I like Neville a lot because he makes people laugh and thatâ€™s something that I really admire. I love watching comedy films and programmes. Lifeâ€™s pretty rubbish at times, and people should be able laugh more.

Are you worried about getting type-cast?
Not so much because I donâ€™t really look much like Neville. At least I donâ€™t think I do. I have to wear a fat suit and a side-parting in my hair and things to stick my ears out.

I hope that when I do come out of Harry Potter there will be things that I can do that a very distant from Neville. Perhaps drama, or action films. I loved the action sequences in this film. But I donâ€™t want to stray too far away from the comedy because I love doing it so much.

Youâ€™re not going to do anything drastic, like Daniel Radcliffe did with Equus?
No. That was a very brave move from Dan, and itâ€™s paid off fantastically. But Iâ€™m not that brave.

Will you be upset if Neville gets killed off?
I would like him to live. But as long as he dies in a righteous and heroic way, Iâ€™ll be happy.

Interview 2:

Leeds native 16 year-old MATTHEW LEWIS reprises his role as Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Matthew has been acting since he was just five years old after joining a performing arts club. He won the role of Neville after an open casting call was held in his hometown.

Matthew has previously featured in a number of television series' including; Heartbeat, City Central, Where the Heart Is, Sharpe, Emmerdale, Dalziel & Pascoe and Some Kind Of Life...

Q: Having just spoken to Evanna, I have to ask you first about the wand incident with Helena.

A: We were doing a scene in the Ministry of Magic where she's holding the character of Neville hostage and Helena plays the character really well, being sadistic and twisted about it. She was moving the wand about on my head, just teasing me and I'm pulling away in fear. She put it straight into my ear and the doctor had to have a look at it and I was deaf for two days in that ear which was pretty weird. She was very apologetic and I can hear fine now!

It was fun - I have always enjoyed playing Neville because he's been that comic relief in the film, and I love making people laugh. This year I got to do that and also a lot of emotion and drama when he talks to Harry about his parents. To not only be working harder and be in more scenes, but also the diverse nature of the work was a lot of fun. I hope it carries on up to the seventh film.

Q: Given that you're obviously quite a dude Matthew looks very different from Neville in the flesh, much more trendy is it fun to play a character who's very different to you in real life?

A: It's kind of strange because I was never really bullied at school. I was pretty confident and I've never shyed away from much but a lot of people have come up to me and said that they were bullied at school and him playing Neville has influenced them a lot in their lives and helped them out. So that's given me great inspiration to carry on doing the job right.

I don't want to just say I'm a natural (he laughs self-deprecatingly), but the books are so well written that you don't have to do much research. You can just read how Rowling wrote it down and perform it that way.

It's surprising how many fans say he's their favourite character. It's really cool to think that you're playing these people's favourite character who they have ingrained in their head from the book. For them to say you're doing it right, is superb.

I'm pretty lucky in that I don't look anything like Neville, at least, I don't think I do. Around Leeds, people recognise me. But I can still go shopping. I kind of get the best of both worlds.

Q: I understand you're a Leeds FC fan - it's been a pretty tough year for supporters, given that the club have now dropped down out of the Premiership into League One football.

A: I don't mind talking about it - they broke my heart twice in one year. But we'll be back, next season.

I love playing football. We're not allowed to do it when we're filming unfortunately, contact sport, they don't want a broken leg or anything, but I love it. Because I've been away, I've missed out on a lot of opportunities to play. I pay a lot of five a side - it's definitely one of my main hobbies.

I'm always asked what do I want to do between the Potter films, and I just want to relax. I also have schoolwork, so I catch up on that. I get so homesick being in London all the time, so I just want to be with my friends. I want to be able to have my own hair for a bit, go out with my mates, be with my friends.

Q: Is a move from the north down to London on the cards?

A: It's probably going to be necessary in the future. I will have to consider it, but not just yet. I love Leeds too much and it would such a trek going to Elland Road every week.

I'm going to have to work on getting an RP accent I think. It's fun being different though, you know.

Q: I notice you're wearing a Stone Roses T-shirt - can I assume you're a fan of retro music?

A: Yeah, Stone Roses, Oasis, The Verve, Blur - I love all that nineties Britpop. Liam Gallagher came to the studio, and brought his kids along. I'd been working Monday to Thursday, believe this, and he came on the Friday. I didn't get to meet him and I was pretty devastated about that.

Both me and Dan Daniel Radcliffe can go back to older stuff, any rock and roll, we just love it. I got VIP to the Kaiser Chiefs which was fantastic and they're Leeds fans as well.

Q: Do you think Neville's going to die?

A: A lot of people have come up to me and said, you're going to die mate'. Cheers! But I like to think he'll be there fighting to the end. If he does die, I'd like it to be really heroic, saving someone else's life.

Jaa Marcel was opeens vet gegroeid en zijn gezicht was ook slanker.
In de eerste film was hij precies de Marcel die ik voor me zag maar nu hij opeens langer en slanker is, klopt hij ook nog steeds.
Misschien omdat het personage in het boek ook groeit en dat ik het koppel aan het beeld van de (nu) langere Matthew..hoe dan ook.

Vandaag is Matthew Lewis de Acteur die natuurlijk Marcel Lubbermans speelt in de films 18 jaar geworden.

Van Harte Gefeliciteerd Matthew. Ik zeg dit toch maar ondanks het feit dat hij dit niet gaat lezen.

Ik kwam net een filmpje tegen waarin ik Matthew amper herkende.
Hij was altijd al cute maar hier is hij echt leuk. Ook zoals hij met Katie is. Nieuwe ship? Laughing

Owja, ik heb gister een heel klein stukje gezien en ik had hetzelfde met hem als met Daniel. Wanneer is dat gebeurt. Wanneer is hij zo leuk geworden. Staat stoer zo'n stoppel"baardje"
Hij ziet er vind ik nu echt anders uit dan in de 4e film ... volgens mij ook anders dan de 5e film maargoed, boeit niet. Hij is leuk opgegroeit Razz

Ik vond hem nou nooit echt een schoonheid ofzo. Maar hier vond ik m echt een leuke jongen. Hij ziet er heel volwassen uit en gewoon verder ontwikkelde. Aaw i like it. En ik vind het ook een leuk intervieuw, hij verteld echt leuk en kijkt dan katie even zo aan van; Toch?

Haha, Laura wees me net op het filmpje en ze had het over dat ze vond dat ie zo ontzettend was veranderd. En opgeknapt. xD Dus tja toen moest ik natuurlijk ook even gaan kijken. [a] En OMG wanneer is dat gebeurd? o.O

Ik vind echt wel dat ie leuk is geworden eigenlijk, terwijl ik hem eerst niet echt geweldig vond. xD Maar go Matthew, hij is ziet er echt leuk uit, haha. xD

Yep, ik was je voor Shir.. Ik vond het echt een leuk filmpje; hij heeft echt een leuk koppie gekregen, ik vond hem altijd al wel grappig, maar nu is het geen jongetje meer! (idd net als Dan) Maar leuk filmpje. Katie vind ik trouwens niet echt veranderd sinds GOF; al ontkend zij dus dat er 30 shots nodig waren voor de kus... Pech voor haar! Wink

Amai, heeft kleine Mathew met zijn konijnetandjes wisseldrank genomen ofzo? Of is hij gewoon veranderd tot een volwassen acteur met een stoppelbaard en een stoer uitzicht?

Persoonlijk vind ik dat dat stoppelbaardje hem wel staat. Hij ziet er erg volwassen uit, maar dat mag ook wel, want hij Ãs dat ook volwassen^^

Hij acteert nu niet enkel als een echte acteur, maar nu ziet hij er ook uit als een echte acteur.

En hier is nog een screenshot te zien van dat filmpje!

Marcel is zeker volwassener geworden^^. leuk filmpje van hun 2 samen. Ze zijn er in ieder geval beter uit dan harry en cho. Nee ik vind marcel/loena nog beter maar toch leuk filmpje. Ik vind het een van de leukere acteurs hoe ze het brengen. Hij speelt marcel goed en hij is in de films grappig. *herinnert zich deel 2 met kruidenkunde*.
Wat Cis en mij heel erg opgevallen is dat Marcel naast knapper ook een stom groter geworden is. Als je hem ziet in deel 4 en foto's van deel 5 is die stukken groter dan Daniel. *zwaait met marcel-vlaggetjes*

Hij ziet er zeker niet meer als Neville uit. Zijn gezicht is ook veel minder bol dan eerst en dat bolle gezicht hoort echt bij Neville. Ik ben benieuwd hoe hij erin de film eruit ziet en of je echt merkt dat hij een stuk ouder is geworden.

Maar alle HP-acteurs worden ouder, al vind ik dat bij Daniel nog wel meevallen. Hij lijkt nog het meest op hoe hij was toen hij in de eerste film acteerde.
